Folder: TSUNAMI
|
The savage attributeThere are not enough tsunamis in order to make statistics and therefore preventions. Wild randomness or non-statistical chances show an irreducible contingency. Tsunamis cannot be subject to statistical calculations. It is also the case for many events: bank crises, genetic mutations, artworks prices. These situations lead to the failure of conventional predictive calculations. Vilfredo Pareto and Paul Levy contributed in formalizing these extreme situations, especially in financial markets systems. In fact, this “wild” randomness introduces contingency in the social field. . |
